Roo Smith
Colorado Elopement Videographer
he/him/his
Roo is an Emmy nominated filmmaker and photographer based in Boulder, Colorado but travels all around the world for his filmmaking career. Yes, you read that right. He has directed documentaries for Patagonia in California, produced films for Outside Magazine throughout Europe and Africa, camera operated for Netflix in the Rocky Mountain West, photographed among indigenous communities in South America, and has received notable recognition in his hometown of Orcas Island in Washington State for his work telling uplifting stories in the outdoor space.
Roo began his love for filmmaking by creating elopements films and while he’s found mainstream success in the film industry, he still returns back to capture these love stories that mean so much to him.
Mallory Fahey
Colorado elopement photographer & planner
she/her/hers
Mallory is originally from Ohio and was raised with a love of the outdoors instilled in her. Growing up, she loved playing in the creek behind her house with her brother and friends. Her love for the natural world only swelling as she got older, Mallory obtained a degree in Animal Behavior, Ecology, Conservation and Environmental Studies from a small school in Buffalo, New York. These degrees allowed her to travel all over the world looking critically at habitats and ecosystems. One of those trips was out to Rocky Mountain National Park where Mallory’s mind was truly blown. She immediately felt at home surrounded by the mountains and sunshine and made moves to permanently call herself a "mountain girlie’ with Colorado as home. Her love for the natural world gets her outside every day enjoying the surroundings of all the beauty the state has to offer.
Mallory is always down to get outside and enjoys any and all things out of doors, especially alongside her pup, Reina, and her partner, Roo! She also is a big fan of cold brew coffee (her caffeine intake is unmatched), knitting, creating stained glass, and baking delicious vegan desserts.
