Welcome to our fall giveaway where we offer one lucky couple a chance at a dream elopement, all planned and ready for you to make it happen :) As winter approaches and the snow starts to fall in Colorado we wanted to go above and beyond to provide an experience for one happy ski or snowboard couple to celebrate their love in an adventurous and meaningful way up in the mountains!

Last year, we planned and filmed a snowboarding elopement in Vail and wanted to provide a similar experience to another couple, just a little bigger this time. Heli-skiing is one of the most iconic and epic ski or snowboarding opportunities out there so if you’re wanting to celebrate your marriage by eloping high up on the mountains then take some runs by helicopter, you’ve come to the right place.

WHY WE’RE DOING THIS…

We believe that elopements should be fun, easy, meaningful and adventurous and often the biggest barrier to that is the elopement planning process. We planned this day to provide an experience for a couple to make their elopement a big day and get one of their favorite activities documented on a professional level without having to shell out a few thousand dollars for videos or photos in addition to renting a helicopter for skiing. Skiing and snowboarding is an inherently expensive activity, as is hiring a top notch elopement videographer or photographer, so we wanted to bring down the bar a little bit and make this dream a reality for somebody looking to elope in an adventurous way without having to spend tens of thousands of dollars. This giveaway includes either elopement photos or elopement videos (not both!) so give us a shout using the contact form below and we can chat about making it happen!

Here’s what the run down for your day could look like…

HELI-SKIING IN TELLURIDE TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrive to Telluride via car or plane, settle into AirBnB and maybe walk around town.

Day 2 - Explore the area, check out some of the local shops, maybe do some snowshoeing or hit up the restaurants. Essentially take a day to rest, see Telluride and adjust to the altitude. This is a good opportunity to take the night and write some vows to each other to prep for the big day tomorrow :)

Day 3 - Elopement Day!! Get stoked and check out what an hour by hour elopement itinerary looks like below.

Day 4 - Take another local exploration day or hit up Telluride Ski Resort if you didn’t get enough of the snow.

Day 5 - Telluride isn’t limited to just skiing, there’s lots of awesome adventures to be had in the area so check out what else there is to do here on Colorado’s tourism website! You could go fat biking, cross country skiing, ice climbing, cozy up in some fun bars, or hit up a nice lil’ spa after the skiing memories have been made.

YOUR ELOPEMENT ITINERARY

Now that we have your trip roughly planned out (We’ll obviously tailor it to you and your dream vacation on our phone call), let’s dive into the specifics of what the elopement day could like for you!

8:00 am - Roo arrives at your AirBnB or hotel to get some shots of you getting ready and prepping your stuff for the day

9:00 am - We all drive over to Colorado Helitrax to check in for our Colorado heli-skiing elopement experience! Learn more about the heli-skiing guiding company here.

9:30 - 3:00pm: Heli-Skiing!! They provide six runs with an average of 10,000 - 14,000ft of elevation gain throughout those six runs (so yes you do get a lot of skiing). During this time on the mountain, there will be some good views and moments to profess those vows you wrote, exchange some rings and sign your marriage license. If walking down the aisle never really appealed to you and skiing down the aisle feels a little more your style I’d highly consider this giveaway :)

4:00pm - After a little “apres-ski” situation (some drinks and celebratory food) to recount the funny stories and epic powder photos or videos, Roo will leave you to go unwind in bed or over a proper dinner just the two of you. Although getting some amazing shots throughout the day is important, there’s always a sad moment where we must say goodbye and you two get to have that intimacy that might appeal to you about eloping anyways.

So, for the sake of total transparency you may be thinking, “Dang Roo this sounds like an expensive and insane trip! We really want to do it because it seems so incredibly rad to celebrate our wedding this way but don’t know how much this is gonna cost!” That’s a big reason I wanted to offer photo or video for free because that can help cut down the cost of getting us all out there and celebrating your love this way in the first place! Here’s what you could be looking at for total cost of the trip:

Essentially, buy one heli-skiing trip for three and get an elopement videographer or photographer for free!!!

$600 - $2000 - Wedding dress

$200 - Suit rental

$2000 - Since this giveaway is giving away either photo or video, if you want to add the other it’ll come at a flat rate of $2000 (over half off our normal pricing). It’s totally optional to add on photography or videography, if you wanna just snag the freebie that’s all cool but this is a great chance to get both at a HIGHLY discounted rate. (Our rates for elopement videography + photography combo packages typically are around $9,000!)

Pretty much no matter how you slice it, you get a half off fully planned trip to Telluride and get to spend an awesome day with Roo as he takes photos and/or videos of you doing what you love to do together in a world-class heli-skiing adventure! I also want to remind you that this may still seem like a lot but a traditional wedding costs $30,000 in Colorado so you’re still paying less than a quarter of that amount on this incredible experience :)
